Raine

Raine is a very good option if what you are looking for is a really fast, well developed and highly compatible emulation program. Even though MAME seems to be the one that has most success, there are many emulators that integrates large amounts of arcade machines without any problem. This is one of them and it offers many optimization possibilities and large amount of compatibility.

  With more than 100 totally compatible games, among which we will find classics like Zero Wing, Snow Bros or Bubble Bobble, Raine is a very interesting emulator because it doesn't show the instabilities that are classical to this kind of development. In Raine, when a game works properly there are no problem and if it doesn't work, it is simply not shown on the list.

  To play any ROM, the game file has to copied to the corresponding Raine folder first and then it has to be selected from the menu that the program shows as soon as it is launched.

  Thanks to emulators like Raine famous games like Ghouls'n Ghosts, Gunbird, Puzzle Bobble and Mega Man haven't been lost.
